๐ช What is Godavari Pushkaralu?
Godavari Pushkaralu is one of South India's grandest religious festivals, celebrated once every 12 years when Jupiter (Brihaspati) transits into the zodiac sign Simha (Leo). Millions of devotees gather on the banks of the sacred Godavari River at Rajahmundry (Rajamahendravaram) to take a holy dip, believing it confers the merit of bathing in 12 sacred rivers over 12 years. The 2027 edition is expected to host 2โ3 crore devotees, making it comparable to the Maha Kumbh Mela.
